Courses
The course offered at ‘Hospitality Management Institute of Australia’ (HMIA) is designed to develop participant’s skills and knowledge in general management practices applicable to the hospitality industry with an emphasis on the cookery. Advanced Diploma of Hospitality is a full-time 125 weeks course and Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) is a full time 67 weeks course. The main focus at first year is practical cookery. Students will gain expertise through practical lessons in our training kitchen and schedule work-based training in the commerical kitchen. The second year will focus on developing supervision, management and business skills.
Successful completion of this course provides its graduates with the opportunity of employment as a cook/chef working in the restaurants and fast food outlets at operational and supervisory levels. This course also allows graduate to further their management career opportunities in the food and beverage area of the hospitality industry. Area of employment include hotels, motels, restaurants, café, catering and other hospitality establishments around the world.
