Entry Requirements

Selection for enrolment in our courses will be approved for applicants who meet the following qualification selection criteria.

Diploma and Advanced Diploma Qualifications
  • Applicants should be 18 years or older unless evidence can be provided that they are accompanied by their parents, guardian or relative who is aged 18 years or over and have satisfactorily completed year 12 or equivalent or
  • Applicants with no formal qualification and who can provide evidence of relevant and sufficient work experience may also be considered.
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language internet-based test (TOEFL iBT) - Score: 46
  • Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic - Score: 42
  • Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) test (also known as Certificate in Advanced English) Score:47
Certificate III Qualifications
  • Applicants should be 18 years or older unless evidence can be provided that they are accompanied by their parents, guardian or relative who is aged 18 years or over and satisfactorily completed year 11 or equivalent or
  • Applicants with no formal qualification and who can provide evidence of relevant and sufficient work experience may also be considered.
  • 5.5 or above for direct entry into the course, or
  • Tests older than two (2) years are not acceptable.
Enrollment process for local international students applying within Australia
  • Complete enrollment form.
  • Attach all relevant transcripts and records.
  • International applicants must provide proof of English proficiency.
  • Forward all documents, including a signed application form, to Technical Education Australia.

  • A non-refundable application fees of A$350 and tuition fee payment is then required. Fees may be paid by cash, cheque, and major credit cards or by direct payment into TEA’s Bank Account.

  • Students will be introduced to the Institution and their course on their first day with an orientation program conducted by a Business College of Australia staff member. This is designed to introduce students to key personnel, familiarize them with the premises and procedures of the Institute as well as to welcome them.
Enrollment process for international students applying from overseas:

International students who are applying from overseas can choose to apply directly or through our authorized agents in your country. The enrolment process includes the following steps:

  • Initial application – You can download the application form from our website. Make sure you understand all the requirements. For further information about studying in Australia, student visa conditions and student visa requirements please refer to the Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIBP) website www.homeaffairs.gov.au. Once you satisfy the conditions, you may proceed with the application and send it either directly to the institute or our authorized representative in your country.
  • Offer to join TEA – Once your application meets the selection criteria, you will receive an offer letter from us to join TEA. The offer letter will include the course name, course duration, tuition fees, overseas student health cover (Insurance) and other terms and conditions.

 

    • Accepting an offer to join TEA – Once you have decided to accept the offer and the terms and conditions you will need to:

 

      • Sign the acceptance form and conditions of offer and send back to the institute or to our authorized agent.
      • Send your tuition fees and payment for health cover premium (where pre-visa is not required).
      • For ALL countries, student requires pre-visa approval and tuition fees are only payable after the pre-visa approval. You can check whether you require a pre-visa approval by visiting DIAC website or through our authorized agents who can further advise you on this.

 

Visa Application

On receipt of your offer of acceptance and accompanying documents, TEA will issue an electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCOE) to the DIAC office. A copy of eCOE will be sent to you to apply for your student visa at your nearest Australian High Commission or Consulate office. Overseas students already in Australia can submit their eCOE to the nearest DIBP office along with visa application and other supporting documents. It is advisable to visit DIBP website www.homeaffairs.gov.au to check that the student visa procedure and requirements have not changed. You can get advice on the same from our authorized agent in your country.
