Program Purpose
The ‘diploma of business’ is a fundamental business course that covers the basic areas of business administration. Like many small business courses, this course is designed to explore various disciplines of the field including: marketing, business development, management, business law, economics, statistics, accounting and finance. Other than that, the course also focuses on enhancing communication skills, work ethics while developing cultural awareness amongst the students. Through this course students will learn how to handle and execute various projects, develop and present business documents, manage/conduct meetings, crisis and risk management, handle recruitment and induction process, research on marketing opportunities and adjust the marketing mix.
This qualification would apply to individuals with various job titles including executive officers, program consultants and program coordinators. Individuals in these roles may possess substantial experience in a range of settings, but seek to further develop their skills across a wide range of business functions.
Conversely, it may also apply to those with little or no vocational experience, but who possess sound theoretical business skills and knowledge that they would like to develop in order to create further educational and employment opportunities.
Target group:
The course is mainly targeted towards individuals who have taken business management courses before and seek to pursue it as a career. However, individuals who are currently working in the field and wish to take more business administration courses for professional development, may also apply for this course. If you already have a degree in business administration and want to learn different practical aspects of business operations, this course will further enhance your knowledge and add on to your resume.
Aims and objectives
The purpose of this course is to impart sufficient knowledge of business administration and management to help the learner to either to get into a job market confidently or to start her / his own business. We aim to provide practical and theoretical knowledge which will help the individuals to understand both finer and main business management and operational fields including business administration, risk management and human resource planning. Our objective is to build communication skills, improve management, and develop marketing skills and work ethics amongst the students.
Entry requirements:
There are no entry requirements for this course and anyone who is seeking for a diploma in business administration can apply for it. However, in order to understand the content better, a prior knowledge of business management and administration is desirable. People with experience in the field are expected to benefit more, nevertheless, this course is open to all inclusive who wish to pursue business career and have not much practical experience.

You may apply for an executive officer, project manager, business developer, marketing manager and program coordinator on successful completion of this course.
