Overview:
‘Certificate III in early childhood education and care’ is a course that provides knowledge and skills required by early childhood care and education workers. The course equip the learners with the working requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard. Through this course, the individuals learn about the basic learning educational framework for children.
The course support the learners to learn how to provide a safe and resourceful learning environment for children, regulating their eating habits, planning and executing leisure activities, providing care for toddlers and all the essentials required for the wellbeing and the development of children.
Target group:
This course is open to individuals associated with any area of child care, education and development. Teachers, childcare center owners, nannies, play group owners, early childhood educators etc. can enhance their knowledge and gain insight regarding their job roles.
This is a basic level course designed for individuals who plan to start a career in child care and development or have recently started working in this industry. The course aims to provide opportunity to the learners to learn different skills and apply them to understand children’s education and development process. The course aims to make its graduates more aware of their responsibilities as child care workers.
Entry requirements:
There are no entry requirements for this course. However, the individuals applying for this course must be above 18. It is also suggested that the individuals who have either studied child care and development briefly, previously, or have worked in the industry without formal education, should apply for this course as it would help them understand the contents, roles and responsibilities of this profession better.

Course structure and duration:
