Overview:
The ‘Diploma of early childhood education and care’ is a high level course designed to explore various skills and practices required in the field of early childhood education, care and development. The course is designed to provide in depth knowledge regarding designing and implementation of curriculum, health practices and child care policies in schools, day cares, nurseries and play groups. Individuals will learn to devise such practices based on the approved learning framework and requirements of National quality standards and national regulations. Through this course, students will learn how to: provide health and care to young children and toddlers, develop creativity in children, build healthy relationships amongest children, develop cultural competencies and nurture the inner talents of the child. In short, this course will give a detailed insight on strategies for early childhood education, healthcare and development.

Our diploma in childcare and care is targeted towards individual who currently work in this department. People who are working at a teaching level, administrative level in schools and day cares, play group supervisors, nannies, after school home instructors or individuals who own their schools or day care centers can benefit the most out of this course. Entry requirements:
There are no specific criteria for this course other than that the individuals must be over 18 years of age. However, individuals with prior experience and education will benefit more as they will be able to relate their practical experiences with the contents of this course. Individuals who have completed certificate III in childhood education and care are also encouraged to apply in this course for better and higher learnings in this field of Children education, welfare and wellbeing.

After attaining this diploma of childcare, individuals may apply for any job in the area of childhood education, care and development as managers or assistant managers. People who are currently working at a lower level of the field may jump up a ladder after obtaining this diploma. They may also start their own day care and school once they have finished the course.
