Overview:
This qualification covers the skills and knowledge required to undertake leadership and management roles within the automotive industry. It is suitable for entry into senior management roles in all sectors of the automotive industry.
Program Purpose
The Retail, Service and Repair sector of the Automotive Industry specifically covers aftermarket activities i.e. sales of new and used vehicles, sales of parts and accessories, repair and maintenance of vehicles, performance enhancements, body repair and rectifying and disposal of components at the end of the vehicles life. The sector employs more than 270 thousand people across more than 60 thousand mostly small business.
Program Objectives
Occupations within the automotive industry are covered by thirty two separate occupational groups which are determined by the training package that covers the breadth of the Automotive Retail, Service and Repair Industry including Automotive Management, Automotive Mechanical (light and heavy), Electrician, vehicle body builder, panel beater, spray painter, trimmer, retail sales, service station attendant and vehicle parts and accessory fitter.

This qualification covers the skills and knowledge required to undertake leadership and management roles within the automotive industry. It is suitable for entry into senior management roles in all sectors of the automotive industry.
